AI7- Top 24, boy version
1. Robbie Carrico is the first one I didn’t speed through after listening for ten seconds. Oooh, Simon just agreed with me. That’s scary!
2. Garrett Haley’s voice is too high at first listen, but he did the second best job so far for singing with just a little bit of originality. Or not. RandyPaulaSimon just said he was UNoriginal.
3. Jason - Good, too! At least he didn’t have the stupid grin that most did. Like the song, too.
4. Michael Johns - Well, that’s not fair to wear the scarf and sing Jim Morrison. Sheesh! OK fine, he’s good, but “they” already know that, right? Help, I’m having Constantine flashbacks…

Robbie is so not a rocker. Simon seemed to call him out on that. Just ’cause you wear a do0rag and a wallet chain, does not mean you’re a rocker. (Especially when you do boy-band moves while you’re singing.)
Didn’t see what you saw in Garrett. I think he needs to go home.
Jason Castro was my favorite of the night!!! I’m a big fan now despite his yucky hair.
I’m a fan of the Vote for the Worst web site so I’m predisposed not to like Michael Johns and I didn’t.
Hey TK! You and Piper need to check this out:
David Lee Roth on American Idol
Now that is funny stuff, Dan!
Thing is, Simon never has gotten or liked the harder/heaver rock stuff. Somehow I think it offends his brit-pop/boy-band sensibilities.
Oh, btw TK, Carrico is the new Poseur, not the Aussie… ;^)

Re: David Lee Roth: ??????????
I’m speechless.
I just checked Dial Idol and, wow, I’m not a good judge. Garrett is in last place. I just liked that his version wasn’t so canned.
