I’m alive!

I LIKED this movie, though the rest of the world didn’t. And one of my favorite songs from the movie is, I’m Alive…

I’m alive and the world shines for me today.
I’m alive. Suddenly, I am here today.
Seems like forever and a day, thought I could never feel this way
Is this really me? I’m alive, I’m alive

I’m home, feeling amazingly alert and ready to go. If it weren’t for having my body sliced opened and parts removed, I’d be back at work tomorrow. Oh well, lots of TV, radio, book and blogging time for me. That’s not such a bad thing. Who wants a recap?

  1. I’m glad to hear it! Keep up the positive attitude - it’ll do more to help the recovery than will being an ornery negative cuss (like me).

    Prayers will continue to ascend…

  2. TK!

    How fantastic. Hurray!

    What movie?

    “Who wants a recap?”
ME! You could video-blog it from your house, like a night-time local sportscaster. Let’s go to the tape!

Call your surgeon and ask for a copy of your operative report. Then post it on your blog. It would be quite educational.

  3. SM, I knew I was living in someone else’s world when my surgeon said to me (in a very excited voice) that it would have been “cool” for her to have been at the first hysteroscopy so that she could have compared what things looked like then and now. I thought to myself, “Oh yeah, that sounds really “cool”. I just smiled and nodded.

I’ll work on that operative report report.

Oh. THAT movie. But didn’t it torpedo the careers of Jeff Lynne and ELO, TK’s favorite band that is really an orchestra?

  5. Well, truth be told, ELO’s career was probably on the decline at the same time the movie came out, so to the untrained person it might SEEM that one caused the other. However, I think the ELO died a disco death along with others who embraces its icy grip. Some other artists managed to recreate or resurrect themselves years after succombing to the disco trend, but not ELO. I ignored ELO’s foray into disco, like ignoring an aunt’s drinking habit. I think it is time for an ELO post…an educational one. After all, they are the best band since the Beatles, second only to AC/DC. ;)

  6. I’m one of the few people in this world that actually LOVED that movie (proof here and here).
