Closing the book on 2006

The following is a rather fitting way to wrap up the blogging year of 2006. I got this survey from Brad who got it from Katie who got it from Mitch.

3. What was your least favorite moment(s) of the year?
Each phone call from a teacher asking if I had a few moments. Also, getting a desperate phone call from my nephew at 10:45pm that he had just returned home from work to find his apartment broken into and his brand-new iMac with 20″ widescreen display gone. He had spent every penny he had earned the entire spring and summer on that computer.

Let myself be driven in my own car by a teenager.

Heart and Soul by Taylor Hicks

Sometimes we get weary
And find ourselves alone
In a world full of darkness
For those who have no home

This time, now, love’s taking its toll
So far, I’m living off of heart and soul
Heart and Soul

I know love is around the corner
And heartache’s around the bend
When will this lasting darkness
Ever come to an end?

This time, now, love’s taking its toll
So far, I’m living off of heart and soul
Heart and Soul

They say love is an empty pocket
Where fools love to dwell
I can see by the looks of it
It goes to show that you never can tell

This time, now, love’s taking its toll
So far, I’m living off of heart and soul
Heart and Soul
Oh, honey,
Heart and Soul
