Bittersweet Symphony
This song gets me every time. Chokes me up. From the first time I heard the soulful strings and the bittersweet lyrics, I was hooked. However, I blame the tears on a wedding I attended in which this song accompanied a PowerPoint slideshow of the two young marrieds from birth to wedding day. The fact that this ode to one’s self took place in a sanctuary is another matter; the beauty of the presentation and the song remained. See, I’m not stuck in the 70’s. I can be stuck in the 90’s, too!
