Which would you pick?

Four really great tickets to the American Idol tour for $300.00 to see your favorite American Idol stars you spent four months watching on television…

or

Four really great seats at a Cubs game at Wrigley Field plus food for $300.00

Which would you pick?

Which did I pick?

Update: My choice made my husband this happy: Yes, I was so close to clicking on that purchase button! Finger poised, I imagined dragging my husband and son to the concert. Then I remembered our upcoming vacation and how much we fun we ALL have at baseball games, especially Cubs games at Wrigley Field.

It was hard at the time, but I closed the order window and said goodbye to the tickets. Later, my daughter reminded me that she wouldn’t have gone anyway. She said, “Remember, I’m not watching American Idol this year. I’m boycotting it because the adults have ruined it.” My husband just smiled and chimed in, “We wouldn’t have gone with you anyway.” So, there you have it. Good thing I like baseball. Happy birthday, Rob!

  1. I would pick the same one that you did pick: The Cubs @ Wrigley…

    ;^)

  2. Baseball fan, not an Idol fan here so Cubs game @ Wrigley, hands down.

  3. The Cubs, of course! Come on, ask us a question we have to think about!

  4. Theresa, as soon as Ticketmaster sales began today at noon, I bought 4 pairs of AI tickets for the Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim when I only need 1 - just to get the best seating location. I plan to sell the other 3 pairs, unless you want to come to California on August 27th. I’m giving you first dibs!

In my case, it’s an early Happy Birthday to me. Actually, my son will turn 23 on that date, but he gave me clearance to switch birthdays with him just this once. God willing, I will turn 50 on August 24th. Yeah, Virgos!

If you do the math, you will see that we turned 40 and 13 within days of each other. Talk about piss poor planning on my part.

  5. Oh Terrie, you tempt me!!!! Actually, my daughter and husband start school on the 28th. My son is home alone that week until his school starts the next week. So, its not a great time for me to fly off to California.

I still would like to see that concert, so my plan is to win tickets off the radio. Ha! I’m a genius.

  6. Of course you’d pick Baseball. It’s the American Way.
