No way Kat beat out Elliott!
If you are looking for me or my thoughts on tonight’s robbery of Elliott Yamin, I am over here. Most good reviews (national) can be found there. For me, tonight’s vote didn’t seem right. I am starting to wonder if the phone lines were just all maxed out, making the vote completely inaccurate. But how could anyone prove that? Not even American Idol would be able to know the true vote. All I can say is they’d better give each person at least five lines each week. That may give Taylor a chance at winning. They should have called the show tonight and declared it a three way tie, but that wouldn’t make very good drama. See you at GrayCharles.com!

Out of “Idol” curiosity, I watch Tuesday’s episode. I was utterly bored and appalled by the performances of all three performers. I don’t think any of them deserve the title of “American Idol.” Taylor has good stage presence. Kat has a good voice. Elliott has the funky thing going. But none of them really stand out of the already over-crowded generic pop model.
Well, Pastor Klages…what can I say? I am sure that part of the charm is to have watched them all along. I have two Taylor Hicks CDs and I can assure you that his CDs are better than his American Idol performances. He’s primarily an acoustic and small audience type entertainer; that’s when he appears to be at his best. It’s good to have your take on things. I think that Elliott and Taylor are the complete opposite of the generic pop model, so I’ll take your comment as a compliment to them both.
TK, you have earned my total respect. Anytime I “meet” someone who not only knows who Katie Luther was, but admires her as well…props. I love that spunky woman who laid her braids on Martin’s pillow… WHOO!
Gee, I’m speechless.
The full phone lines thing was exactly what I thought last week about Chris. I dialed for the entire second hour and didn’t get through one time. That’s part of the reason that I was so shocked when he lost.
I personally am not surprised Elliott is gone. I was just surprised that he lasted as long as he did.
