Once again, Terrie at Everyone is Entitled to My Opinion, says it better than I did. She also has the advantage of watching previous years’ American Idol shows and offers a sobering perspective. Am I just a pawn of some music industry executive?

I started to write a lengthy response in this comment, but then I decided to take it over to Territorial Bloggings instead, linking back to your & Terrie’s entries. Suffice it to say that I disagree with her somewhat alarmist take on things — you’ll have to visit my place to see how/why!
