My favorite radio programs

I was so impressed by Love and Blunder’s radio station that I decided to add my own. OK, I’m shamelessly linking to an existing radio station, but you’d still be listening to what I’m listening to. Actually, FM 107.1 is only one of my favorite radio stations. I also listen to AM1280 The Patriot, which can be heard livestream 24/7!
My kids have no choice in the morning program; they are hopelessly stuck listening to A Balanced Breakfast with Ian and Margery Punnett. I usually can’t make it up to listen at 5am, but that is my goal. (Update: I’ve written before about this husband and wife radio team; you can watch a video of their work at the Hallmark Channel’s New Morning show website, click on past shows and select 12-9-04. ) I frequently call or write in, sometimes with the same posts from my blog. My son’s voice is even in one of the current promos featuring listeners imitating Napolean Dynomite. He thinks that’s pretty cool and so do I! Other shows I like are The Kevyn Burger show and the Lori and Julia Show. Weekends, be sure to listen to Katie K9 and Chowhounds.
AM1280 The Patriot is another favorite of mine. For the best in local Minnesota politics, be sure to read the blog and/or listen to radio show of the Northern Alliance. Listen live Saturdays from noon-3PM Central Time. The radio show is also replayed Monday-Friday, Noon, 6PM, Midnight, 6AM. The live streaming is paid for by the Taxpayers League of Minnesota who also has a great blog and radio show! Of course, I always try to catch Hugh Hewitt. You can listen to him livestreamed on The Patriot. He has a good blog, as does his producer, Radioblogger. Other good shows are Laura Ingraham and Bill Bennett, but I don’t get a chance to listen to those. I’m not done with this post or my links, so check back later. Enough blogging for this mom today.

www.am1280thepatriot.com I listened today.
Is there a trick to playing the Love and Blunder station, or am I more lame than I think I am?
Also, where did you find the radio picture? Believe it or not, I was looking for a picture of a radio to put in my template for my sidebar radio links.
Laura Ingraham is hilarious, and I think the most talented of the talk-radio personalities.
The radio is easily found at Yahoo Images or just cut/paste this: http://www.worldhistory.com/wiki/R/Radio.htm
I wish I could listen to Laura more often. Someone once joked that she sounded Lutheran. That’s a compliment, right?
I don’t know about working the radio…I can’t remember if I tried or not. It LOOKS cool, though.
